I've seen this after doing an out-of-source-tree build with outdated
libs and artwork packages unpacked on the source tree. A later in-tree
build with artwork and libs packages corresponding to the used source
revision had the cursors change as expected, so I guess that either the
out-of-source-tree building or the not up-to-date packages where the cause.
