[sldev] Strange camera/avatar behavior in 1.23.4 on opensuse 11.1

Has anyone tried 1.23 yet? im having this weird issue whare the camera appears 
to be stuck to my pelvis and is uncontrollable, but after teleporting i can 
see myself with no avatar mesh. I could only repro it on opensuse 11.1 
x86_64, did not on windows xp or gentoo x86.
