Thanks everybody for the explanations about printf("%s", str)
in linden/indra/linux_crash_logger/llcrashloggerlinux.cpp

By the way this is solved in the render-pipeline branch;
I could build r1927 on Linux without too much hassle, and
the viewer has shadows (nicer than some previous releases),
2 more checkboxes in Preferences/Graphics/Hardware to set
RenderUseFBO and RenderDeferred (that is, to enable shadows),
and Antialiasing now works even with shadows enabled.
