Please show proof of this claim LL is going to implement obj uploads.

Exact proof please. No "so and so suggested it in a office hour".

Show us quotes from Linden Lab employees with location, date, and time.

Why do you want to do that when SL already supports cylinder primitives?
I hope you do not want to implement individual polygons using sculpties.
Proper polygon mesh primitives are definitely coming so it may be best
to wait for that if you can.
