Yes, i tracked it that far as well, but as I have not yet move my
development into the 9.10 machine. Publiching the "easy" workaround to
get the sound happy with 9.10 was my idea. My tests so far got to:

* no sound, except music, gstreamer works.
* SL hand on exit, untill pulseaudo -k
* Usinging the Ubuntu openal libs and nothing works.
* Using esound, all works.

My setup is;
One 9.04 main devel computer, also used to connect to sl
One 9.10 main avatar sl computer
One 9.04 steaming audo machine, runns my DJ system
One 8.04 server, not really used.
One MacBook, Snow Leopard + 9.10, when not at home.

I shoule make a try on updating openal to thet 1.10.622 release, and
dump into emerald down ton 9.04 and 9.10, i was a little relucatnt to
break the 9.04 build enviroment.

Voice is a *PITA* for being close source imho 99% of the sound jira
stuff is that broken application.
