Unless the server only lets certified viewers connect to live and non connect to beta.

While in principle the signing of binaries is a good idea,
I predict that users won't care at ALL.

Example: emerald doesn't get a key, because they have this
'Of The Record' encryption and 'invisibility' feature.
Emerald puts on their website: blah blah blah.
Users still download it and use it, just like they do now.
