Thunderbird is whole reason why to keep discussions on a mail-list. The
web-based forums (or gmail) just don't compare with the versatility,
accessibility, and speed of Thunderbird.
I do agree both the web-based forums and mail-list should be used at
their fullest. I think the more technical content discussions should be
kept to the mail-list and policy based discussions can be moved to the
web-forums.
