[sldev] [HELP] VS 2008?

Two points:

First, on the Linden's plan to switch to VS2005,

I believe Microsoft will soon stop distributing VS2005 and replace
their free express downloads and sales stocks on the market with
VS2008. Ater that switching, it will be almost impossible for new
developers to get their copies of VS2005 (as it is to get VS2003 now!)

So, Lindens, if you are planning to switch the Visual Studio version,
please choose VS2008 as the target. (Assuming the switching will take
place before the VS201x to come out.)

Second, on the use of no open-source libraries,

I don't simply dislike no open-source libraries (Sorry for a tripple
negatives... I can't express my idea other than this way in my
limited English skill...), but I hate any of the following:

- I need some manual modification to projects before I can compile
each release of a Windows version of SL viewer.

- Lindens modify the source for distribution after their QA.

- Open source viewer doesn't match the Linden's official build in
  their components.

If Lindens' explanation that they are caused by their use of some
proprietary third party libraries in the viewer and/or the server and
are inevitalble is true, my position will be against no open-source
libraries.

Lindens, you are wasting both Linden employees' and open source
developers' time by making our collaboration difficult, IMHO.
