Actually the bug I'm talking about is VWR-1815/VWR-2404.

Qarl is claiming a fix on VWR-2404 but I have yet to be able to see it
or confirm it. Supposedly it is in 1.18.6 but I haven't got that
nightmare working yet. I suppose I could nuke KDU out of an official
build and see if the bug is still there...

I don't suppose a Linden could pretty please dig into the internal SCM
and dig out Qarl's commit for VWR-2404 and toss me the diff. :) I have
no idea what his fix even *is*...
