I second that opinion.

Since all contributions to the official LL-viewer will need the
"Contribution Agreement" to be signed, that would be just logical.

It would match the current workflow (contributers post changes to LL, LL
incorporates)

As said before: I am not one of those who will contribute much code, so
weight my opinion accordingly,
