Wait until it's over? I know it's not optimal but it's what I do. (Being
locked out due to MISC-264)

That was when they changed to the new Support Portal. Only the portal
software (and perhaps its hosting servers?) seem to be outsourced, tickets
are still handled by Linden people, as far as I know.
