The open source way is to fix bugs, and to clean up and improve APIs
whenever possible.

The closed source way is to bend over backwards to retain bug-for-bug
compatibility from now to the end of time, accumulating crufty hack upon
hack, because there's no guarantee that third parties will bother to
maintain their !@#$ing software.

Choose your path.

Unfortunately, in world, we're stuck with bling kiddies bitching about
their purchased bling scripts breaking, who have not been given the
freedom to just fix the damn script on their own (or with help).

Really, LSL needs API versioning of some kind.
