[sldev] Who are the Sculpted Prim Godz?

Sculpted prims rock! I have already seen quite a few builders make cool use of Sculpted Prims (sculpties) created via the usual cool tools: Maya, Blender, Rokuro, etc.. Sculpties are a gr8 addition to the builder's toolkit. Kudos to those who created them!

I have a different challenge and would like to know who are the SL devs who understand sculptie technology at the deeper levels. I need to go beyond just genning solids of rotation, or pulling on meshes in Blender or Maya. I want to create a set of programs that will mathematicaly generate 3D shapes using quaternions (and other 3D chaos-based methods) and then map the resulting data sets to textures so they can be imported as sculpties.

I'm not sure if that is even possible. Where can I find the best resources to really understand what's going on in a sculptie? How can I go about algorithmically creating them? Can someone help or point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!
