John, Callum,

I know this thread is kinda tapering off anyway, but just wanted to
point you and others to some things that should help reduce licensing
talk on the mailing list:

https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Unofficial_Licensing_FAQ

This is a collection of the current state of licensing around the open
source SL release. Should be useful for pointing people to that have
misconceptions. As new questions arise we can add to it.

This FAQ also has a discussion page, please use that for discussion of
issues mentioned on the FAQ page or for development of new FAQ entries,
or just be bold and add them in the main page, though if you want to
change existing information substantially it would be best to consult
the discussion page first.

For licensing questions that need Linden Lab feedback, I believe Rob is
considering or in the process of adding a "Policy" component to Jira.
This would not only be for licensing, but for other policy proposals and
questions too.

Until there is a Policy component on Jira, Rob said we can use MISC.

Right now Rob is leaning away from branching off the mailing list
completely. I think these other venues should help reduce licensing
traffic on this list.

-Jason
