[sldev] Texture caching

Commenting out the gImageList.mForceResetTextureStats = TRUE;
(llviwerdisplay.cpp, line 302), at first glance appears to have little
effect, adverse or otherwise (maybe slightly good tho). I want to find where
to adjust the 30 second bias (esp. as to tp, and let an area res can easy
take >30 seconds). I'm in the UK too btw.
My system falls into the 3-4 year old on a budget build too - Sempron 2800+,
1gig ram, 128mb fx5200, 16gig (budget) hdd (about 32gb free on cache
partition - cache set @ 1gig) 576kb adsl. (adequate until someone wants to
test a boolean through 360 nested calls, or to show off some good
graphics;).

I'm slightly distracted now though because of a crash from
lleventpoll::stop() where llinfos was trying to use a null pointer mPollURL
when exiting. & I have some JAVA to write that I should start on.

p.s. if anyone knows of any good free monitioring tools for XP.

pps. is there such a bias on objects?

This would be awesome, anything performance and experience related new
config options are
welcome imho :)

I would trade a huge portion of hdd space for performance. Any chance to get
try this out before
it is in the public first look branch and test for you?
