[sldev] better version of boolpatch

This version just updates the header file, fixes all of the compile
errors, and adds a few comments.

The llfft utility seems to be completely unused?

I have tested this version in-world. Apparently during the past few
hours the all-black avatar problem has re-appeared. The output from the
official binary distribution has the same problem.
