Hello again SLDev!  I asked for feedback and boy did I get feedback!

We've been reading the e-mails and wiki critique page and it has sparked 
a few ongoing internal discussions.  It looks like there are a lot of 
questions surrounding why we're working on this project.  Initially, our 
goal was to consolidate our authentication implementation in order to 
support back-end anti-fraud work.  This remains the priority!  We 
understand your concerns of lost viewer functionality.  Thus we are 
focusing on converting the current login screen to an embedded web 
login.  This supports our back-end anti-fraud work and allows it to 
function without requiring you to login via a web page.  We're working 
on putting out a beta with the new functionality that you can try out 
yourself.  Until then, we'll continue to participate in this ongoing 
discussion.  Thank you!
