[sldev] adding support for a new input device to the SL viewer

You are very correct. My submission to the feature request form was
made before the viewer was open-sourced, however. Also, while it
may sound nice to have people hacking and distributing their own
customized versions of the viewer, there is a potential disaster
on Linden Labs hands if users began running untrusted, potentially
trojaned software to log into their Second Life account.
