[sldev] Getting position and mesh data for objects

Hi,
I'm interested into getting access to position and mesh data for
objects close to the agent.
I've found the getPositionGlobal() and getPositionAgent() methods on the
gAgent and gObjectList.getObject(i) globals.
Is this the correct way to get position for agent and objects, right?
Yet I'm having no success to find mesh data :(
I've noticed the getNumVertices() and getNumIndices() methods, but can't
find a way to get to the actual vertices and triangles.
can anyone point me to the right direction?
