I've got vehicles that are barely controllable, and I've vehicles  
that drive or fly well. I've *flown* across the continent on my Mehve  
at around 5m level, following the roads, and that's with a vehicle  
that's using "aircraft" controls. As in, if you let yourself hit  
anything you're stopped.

Now I've got a fair bit of practice with that, but I've also worked  
pretty hard on making it controllable. If you've got a parcel handy  
to a road on the mainland, I'll stick a demo Mehve rezzer on it and  
you can try it yourself.

The biggest problem is outflying the sim handoff or running into ban  
lines.
