We've just finished moving the Second Life wiki and the Viewer source 
artwork package from version 2.5 to 3.0 of the Creative Commons 
Attribution-ShareAlike <http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/> 
copyright license. Many thanks to those of you who brought this issue to 
my attention, and I hope the change helps you further your work on the 
viewer project.

The main difference between CC By-SA 2.5 and 3.0 is that the new version 
allows for content to be reused under other copyleft licenses which CC 
deems to be compatible. This alleviates a serious "bug" in some CC 
licenses that meant some copyleft content couldn't be remixed with other 
copyleft content released under different but philosophically aligned

This copyright license excludes our trademarks, of course. I am actively 
working with other Lindens to develop better TM guidelines for open 
source versions of the Viewer, and I'll let you know as updates become 
available.
