This is the key part - when it comes to the colour of user interfaces, there is no single solution; and it is not just about preferences, a colour scheme that one person finds extremely clear, can for another be headaching inducingly illegible. 
 
Which is why almost from when there were colour monitors software and operating systems allowed the colour schemes to be configurable.
 
Which is why, I, and others, think it is essential that when dazzle goes into an RC it should
 
a) natively support alternate schemes/skins
b) come with a number of alternatives pre-installed (I would suggest at a minimum: the blue dazzle one, one based on the current scheme which Harold may be able to help with, and having just looked through the wiki, maybe one based on the old green theme which admittedly was before my time....)
