Great suggestion. The page I mentioned before is now up on the wiki:

This starts with the current (albeit limited) capabilities for changing
color, art & sizing as of version 1.20. I'm hoping others will add to
it, add other tutorials, and post the results of their mods.
I can commit to documenting the capabilities like this, as they improve
with each phase of the Skinning project.
