If you are going to distribute a binary, then you must distribute the
sources that go with it. It's that simple, and it's not a negotiable
point. If you don't do it, you are infringing on the copyrights.
Whether anyone enforces it or not is up to the copyright holders.
There are at least 20 copyright holders on the viewer code base (myself
included). Any of them can bring an action.
I would like it very much if people complied with the GPL. It's not
that difficult.
