Ok, I've been working out a recipe for compiling the client. I got all the
way to where I could call make and got the following lines at the top of a
very long error list:

[ 18%] Building CXX object llmedia/CMakeFiles/llmedia.dir/llmediamanager.o
In file included from
/home/ricky/SLDev64/linden/indra/llmedia/llmediaimplgstreamer.h:44,

/home/ricky/SLDev64/linden/indra/../libraries/x86_64-linux/include/gstreamer-0.10/gst/gst.h:27:18:
error: glib.h: No such file or directory

My system: 2.6.25-gentoo-r7 #3 SMP Mon Nov 10 20:40:02 PST 2008 x86_64 AMD
Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux

My process: (I'm documenting the steps so I can build a shellscript to do it
all for me...)

# Do an SVN update.
# Download the artwork referenced by the line matching '^SLASSET_ART=' from
the linden/doc/asset_urls.txt
# Extract the artwork.
# Build the Release edition client:
# cd linden/indra
# ./develop.py -t Release -N
# cd viewer-linux-$(arch)-release
# make

Any ideas?
