When I mean play the 3D scenes back, I mean the ability to play them and
change camera viewpoints during the playback, and be able to stop and
play. I would think you would basically want to record the simulator
data on objects, agents, texture, particles and such. I suppose some of
it could be recorded on the client side, but you would be limited to
whatever that particular client could actually see.
I wasn't meaning just making a video. From what I've read, Olive has the
ability to record a session on their "simulator" that can be played back
for a number of viewers. (I'm thinking something like Halo 3's video
playback and editing stuff).
