You may be thinking about things the wrong way. Some of these things
may require server support, but not necessarily server-side SL. The
Vivox voice chat is a good example. It runs as a separate process,
communicating with separate servers, remains closed source, and could be
a separate revenue stream when they offer premium services.
If you set up your own server for the groupware tool of your choice and
implement its client functionality in the SL viewer, you don't have to
care about SL servers.
Some of the things you're asking for aren't even well defined. What
does "integration with the main social nets" mean. I assume you mean
sites like MySpace, but what would that look like in a 3D virtual world?
