I don't think it is easy to find something unexpected from the current
scheme... It is rather easy to see whether some *expected* changes are
incorporated or not done yet.
That's what I'm using the current commit log primarily for. It's
useful. Thank you Soft for doing this.

Yes, preview of features. In my case, the "features" means "new bug
fixes."
The only problem of the current scheme is, IMHO, that the
corresponding between RC viewers is unclear.
Recently, we have Branch_1-19-0-Viewer branch for 1.19.0 RC (no FL)
viewers. The binary distribution is called RC0, RC1, ... In 1.18
ages, source tarballs for RC viewers are called *-RC-1.18.X.Y.xxx if
it is for the viewer 1.18.X RC(Y). Under the new scheme, the source
tarballs are called *-1-19-0-Viewer-rXXXXX.xxx where XXXXX is the
revision number in the LL internal repository. It is unclear which
source tarball corresponds to a particular RC binary. It makes
communication between residents using RC binary viewers difficult.
