Yes, but would the group be helped by having the persons on in not 
getting the IM's. It will work for some small types of groups, but not 
most, having a flag for this on role might be good that the owner of the 
group sets. Maybe also a can't chat flag or an chat ban list...

Over all i think the idea need an other turn at the design table, 
feedback and talk about who this will affect clubs? Support groups, 
right groups. Personally all my groups need auto login for chat, and for 
all members if to fill the role they have today. If it get out-out some 
might go over to use all communication as Notice instead. I'm not sure 
that is an in any way better solution...
