[sldev] simulate a sim restart

Has anyone figured out a decent way to simulate a sim restart?

In today's rolling restart my client crashed on sim restart rather than
logging me off, which popped a runtime error dialog, which prevented the
viewer from exiting and triggering the restart script with fallback timer.
In short, it misbehaved.

Has anyone already invented this wheel? I'd like to be able to simulate a
sim restart so I can make sure my code fails gracefully.
