First thing I do when installing a new copy of SL is to enable "Run 
Multiple Threads". Have never noticed a problem, and see a slight - VERY 
slight - increase in texture rendering. I figure if it is /possible/ for 
it to speed things up, and doesn't adversely affect the experience, 
might as well turn it on.
