I'm not planning to fix 1.19, but 1.20 may also have this problem. So the 
quick and dirty fix for me is, to use the old scons version until cmake 
arrives.

yes, the timeline is important here. SuSE is targeted for release June, 19., 
and Fedora 9 for May, 13. (both using scons 0.98). Ubuntu 8.04 seems still to 
use 0.97, but 8.10 may not.

As this only affects people, who want to build slviewer by themself, this may 
not be a big problem anyway.
