The behavior where the creator or asignee receives email notices about
all changes to the jira without being a watcher is the behavior I
experience on our internal jira. On our external jira I know it is the
behavior I experience for tasks I am the asignee of, but I have not
recently created a new pjira task to vouch for that behavior. I don't
know why the two would be different but they could, I suppose.
I am not sure why it would be different for different accounts either,
however I know there was a weird transition time when pjira first came
up and no email alerts happened at all because no email addresses were
in pjira. There could be legacy issues or ..... something else? I
honestly don't know. However I do not have to add myself as a watcher
on either our internal jira or our external jira to get emailed when
updates happen by other people.
