Hi Ajinkya,

libopenmv (new name for libsecondlife) is an independant work from the
viewer and is not developed by Linden Lab. It is written in the C# language
and runs under the .NET framework in windows, or MONO on multiple platforms.
It is largely a protocol library for developing clients for connecting to
the either Second Life or opensim based grids, butand also supports other
higher-level functions that may be in a client program. It is used mainly
for lightweight text only clients or automated "bots", but there are a few
independant non-LL based graphical viewers being developed that use it as
well. libopenmv is BSD licensed which provides a different set of
restrictions on redistribution of the source code or derivitive works than
the GPL licensed LL viewer, which may make it more appealing for some
for-profit ventures.
