Yeh, I got that. I'm not actually talking about performance, I'm
talking about basic quality issues.
Like, low end machines didn't make water a flat untextured plane,
before Windlight.
Which means that you really can't compare them at "comparable"
settings. Windlight at the lowest settings is faster, but it's not as
good an experience.
I'm not arguing for or against Windlight here, just pointing out that
you're never going to get an apples-to-apples comparison that will
make everyone happy. You just have to get some kind of crude
aproximation.
