[sldev] libpurple implementation?

OpenSIm is BSD licensed while libpurple is GPLv2.  Thats likely the
reason for the concern.  Putting it in the viewer shouldn't be an issue
re: licensing though perhaps a Linden should ultimately weigh in on
that.
