[sldev] http-texture project - how far until complete? (this will totally Rawk SL!)

I can see this as a useful feature for LL supplied images such as the map
which can change frequently, but aside from the concerns about privacy,
security, and content rights management, wouldn't having http texture
sources lead to a lot of broken content as links go stale? I was under the
impression that this was limited to map images, but if there are plans to
extend it, how would the problem of stale links be addressed?
