[sldev] SNOW-301 patch review?

Hi,

I posted a patch for SNOW-301 (updating the pluginapi code) and tested on
Mac tonight. I'll be checking my Windows build tomorrow first thing at the
office.

If one of you guys could kick the tires on Linux (making sure it builds and
passes simple tests, viewing the Help for instance and the splash screen)
that'd be swell :)
