This is the real discussion that should be going on in SLDev, and it's 
refreshing that about five out of a hundred posts to the mailing list, 
such as this one, are addressing the root cause of the problem.

There seems to be universal agreement that AO should not require 
scripts.  VWR-386 is in the top 10 most requested features.  The only 
comment I heard from Linden what something to the effect, we want to 
make sure we do it the right way, yet I haven't seen any strawman 
proposals published on the list by Linden Lab, and no comment on the 
Emerald solution, so I can only conclude that this is just a smoke screen.

The llEndScript to enable a one-time execution sounds like an 
interesting proposal that as far as I can tell has received no comment 
from Linden.

SLDev is supposed to be an open source project.  Let's talk.  Let's 
design.  Let's get something done.

Right about now is when Rob would put an end to the policy discussions 
here and round up the stray cats.  :-(
