(sorry for the dup Melinda)
Problem with the cookie trick: How do you find it? I'm not sure there is a
standard location on Linux, maybe I'm wrong? I've never gone looking. Do
all browsers put cookies in the same location on a given OS? What prevents
them from not using the standard location?
I like the idea of auto-login after creation of account, but it may be that
we should consider enabling the default web page displayed in the client, in
the login screen, to create accounts? It changes the new user experience
from:
1: Goto secondlife.com
2: Create account
3: Download client
4: Run client
5: Login to SecondLife
to
1: Goto secondlife.com
2: Download client
3: Run client
4: Create account (which then automatically logs you in.)
Of course, you would NOT be required to create a new account the first time
a client is executes. You could just type in your login credentials, and
go.
