[sldev] [HELP] C++ newbie needs help with first compilation

Carlo was listing the dependencies (i.e. the required software) for the
single steps of the build process on a certain flavor of Linux. While
this gives good hints on what could be needed on other flavors of Linux
(and probably even other UNIX-like systems), I don't know how relevant
it is for building on Windows XP.

Was that what you wanted to be clarified?
