Or within an avatar. My usual avatar (a ferret) has a long body and  
short arms. Walking animations make my hand bury itself in my back  
instead of resting on my hip. If I could have it play a target script  
to tug my hand a few centimeters to the side towards a prim in my hip  
I could use normal animations and have them look more natural, without  
having to redo all my animations (even if there was a way to download  
and edit them).
