they dont always remove items that are used for griefing. my wife still to this day gets im spam from objects all over the grid because some stupid group placed a mass im spammer in a freebie AO and passed it out to noobs. she has reported this to LL hundreds of times over the last 2 years.... yet for some reason LL overlooks the item even though she has tracked it down and given it to the lindens. either its laziness on their part or they just dont care hell i dont know. my intentions were not to erradicate... more to prevent. there is no way to completely stop griefers. not with the source open to all. when scripting isnt available to people to use for griefing they turn to clients. and ew bots.... i just really think that it would force at least a bunch of griefers elsewhere if they were forced to have some legitimate details logged with LL

there wasn't any griefing back when alll accounts where paid?
There was and even when LL knew everyone's identity they didn't make use of it, they just did the same thing they do know which is suspend/ban griefers as they see them and remove objects and scripts as needed. Pre-6/6/06 everyone was known but there was no deterrent because everyone knew then as they know now that LL wouldn't use the information that they had to actually go after people. That being said I don't see how they could go after people since you can't sue for damage for a prim damaging the roof of your virtual house. People asked and are asking the impossible of LL which makes it seem like an ignorant idea.
