[sldev] Mailing list tone

Hi all,

I'd like to remind everyone here about the SLDev posting policies:
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/SLDev

In particular:
* Constructive criticism is welcome, but general complaints which only
serve to discourage use of Second Life or discourage cooperation with
Linden Lab should be taken elsewhere.
*  Blog policy applies:
https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/features/blog/2009/02/25/guidelines-for-the-sl-blogs

We endeavor to maintain a respectful tone in our communications, which
we imagine the vast majority of the 950+ subscribers to this mailing
list appreciate. Allowing other behavior threatens our ability to
continue to provide this venue.

I'll be sending out private warnings to people who are running afoul of
the policies. Additionally, moving forward, egregious violations will
result in immediate suspension.

If you find people you feel are running afoul of these policies, I'd
suggest you either contact them directly off-list, or send mail to
sldev-owner at lists.secondlife.com pointing this behavior out. Please
don't engage them on list. It just starts a cycle that's tough to break
by implicitly inviting the offender to further post "the last word". It
rarely, if ever, results in a public apology.

If you have problems with this policy, email me personally, or attach a
comment here:
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Talk:SLDev

Please, let's *not* spin up a meta-discussion about this on the mailing
list.

Thanks
Rob
