The last comment by Quarl is on 08/Jan/09 about rescinding his objection to 
getting this issue fixed.

There's also a comment from McCabe Maxsted who tried something that works 
great, but I don't know what it is. The bug is still present in the latest 
version.

I looked at the code and think I figured out the way to fix it, so if nobody 
is working on it, I'll go and do that.
