[sldev] Experience so far with 2244

Hi folks,

Today I was able to run the 2244 viewer for most of the business day
without too much incident.  The main problems were an avatar rebaking
problem which caused my avatar's head to be perpetually grey in everyone
else's viewer (but fine in my own), and some problems with some avatars
appearing transparent.

Merov is working on merging the latest changes from 1.23 into the viewer
now.  One of the fixes that's part of that merge is a fix for VWR-12906
("Changing outfits makes entire body, arms, hands of avatar disappear,
makes face rezzing screwy"), so it seems likely that the problems I
describe are not specific to the http-texture branch.  Hard to know for
sure though until that work is done.

I've been keeping an eye out in the log for problems that might be
related to the workaround fix in VWR-12775.  Here's the log message
you're likely to see in place of a crash:
WARNING: callbackDecoded: DECODE FAILED: id = xxx, mFormattedImage is Null!

I got 34 of those messages today.  It'd make us feel a lot better if we
knew what was really going on there, so we'd be happy to get some fresh
eyes on the problem.  That said, I wasn't able to find any issues that
couldn't be explained away as possible 1.23 problems, so this may not be
the most important thing to look at.

Skimming through the crash reports, I see 6 crashes from today.  2
different residents reporting 3 crashes in OpenJPEG, but it doesn't look
like we have good stack info there.  One lingering case of VWR-12952. 
One watchdog-crash (i.e. a hang), which could be a lot of things.
