hi all... Note wanting to be a party pooper but... for me textures
frequently fall back to grey after looking away for, say, ten minutes
(and not downloading more than what a regular, static sim has to
offer). This is on a MacBook pro with a decent connection and 1GB
cache. It isn't doing that on 1.22.11. Same for sculpties which fall
back to ovoids.
Also I noticed a strange problem with the visibility of prims : when I
call a llSetLinkAlpha to make a prim invisible (or simply llSetAlpha
for that matter) the prim stays visible until I put my camera close,
looking at it. This is systematic. Once again on a mac, I can't test
it now on windows.
But my biggest pet peeve is the avatar pie menu : why oh why did LL
choose to move Detach to the left and placed Appearance instead ? The
result is people frequently going to appearance mode when trying to
detach something... This annoying to no end. I don't remember the jira
entry about this but I know I am not the only one bothered by this.
On the plus side, yes download times are faster, and applying changes
to the preferences or moving the window no longer makes the viewer
freeze on my mac (it didn't do that on windows). No crash, no
disconnection, bulk permissions change is a very welcome addition as
well. Can't wait to see the dynamic shadows :)
