[sldev] Request for VWR-15310 in Snowglobe: Advanced->XUI->Save to XML doesn't set proper XML tags

This patch is part of VWR-10924. We factored out the changes into two
files. This first patch fixes the save functionality, which is a
prerequisite for the second patch, which is the new functionality in
VWR-10924.
