Umm... oops, sorry about that. Yes, I did have the orphan header in my build 
tree:
libraries/i686-linux/include/llfreetype2/freetype/ft2build.h

This is the same breakage Viktoria commented about in 
http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SNOW-129 .
saved_login_entries is hidden behind a macro:
#ifdef LL_RELEASE_FOR_DOWNLOAD

The version of that patch I tried last did work with the macro lines commented 
out, but the variable name was changed since then... I will commit a fix for 
this one soon (s/saved_login_entries/saved_logins/)
