[sldev] Group IM broken in released source?

I was also experiencing the similar issues on 1.18.1.2 source on
Windows.  After some experiment, I found that:

- MacOS version has no problem.  It can start group IM sessions as
  always.  (I used my own build of 1.18.1.2 source.)

- Linden's binary distribution of 1.18.1.2 for Windows has no problem.

- My own build on Windows from 1.18.1.2 source, using VC++ 2005
  Express with Feep Larson's solutioin/project file set (available as
  an attachment file vc8_1_18_1_v1.zip to JIRA issue VWR-1151) *has*
  the issues.

- However, My own build of 1.18.1.2 using VC++ 2005 with manually
  converted solution/project files (from VS2003 files) has not problem.

So, I concluded that the problem is somehow in the solution/project
files provided by Feep Larson, and wrote a comment to VWR-1151
(http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-1151#action_23883) with more
details.

However, after I noticed your mail (sorry, I didn't since I saw your
own reply today), I tested the same thing on 1.18.0.6 source and found
that the case is same; MacOS version has no problem, Windows version using
manually converted solution/project files has no problem, but Windows
version using Feep's solution/project files *has* a problem.

I'm not sure how this observation is linked to message.xml that you
pointed.  It is possible that we are talking about totally different
issues.  (You didn't specify viewer version or platform...)
